Account and settings

Being in the precious metals industry in Singapore, Everest Gold is required to comply with the Precious Stones and Precious Metals (Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing) Act 2019.

Personal information is required for our customers to proceed with fund management features such as deposit, trade and withdrawals for reasons specified below:

-To detect and prevent fraud in financial transactions and to keep your account safe.
-To execute transfer of asset ownership upon each transaction.
-To verify user identity during gold collection to prevent impersonation.

Your information is always kept confidential and is only used for compliance purposes.

For Singaporeans, government issued photo identification such as identification card, passport or a driver’s license can be used for account verification.  

For users outside of Singapore, a government issued passport is required to verify your identity. Everest Gold accounts are verified in accordance with our internal anti-money laundering policy.

To make changes to your account details, please contact our customer service team here.

If you wish to change your address, please go to settings I need to update my phone number for 2-factor authentication.

In most cases, you can create an Everest Gold account if you live outside of Singapore. However, Everest Gold is currently not available in China, Iran and countries in the Africa continent.

All users must be at least 18 years old.


There are no transaction fees and no limit to the number of transactions you can make.

Currently, there are no membership fees.

Yes, you can download the mobile app free of charge. The app is available for download in the App Store and Google Play Store.

Fund Management

You can refer to our <Step-By-Step User Guide> for instructions on how to link your bank account, withdraw and deposit funds.

To check your deposit and withdrawal history, you can go to ‘My Funds’, tap on your ‘Total Cash Assets’ to check your funds history.

After depositing funds into your Everest Gold account, the status of your transaction will reflect as “Pending” until funds are verified. Once your funds deposit is successful, the status will be updated to ‘Payment Received’.

Please ensure that you have carried out the fund transfer on your iBanking platform.

Funds will be deposited into your account within 24 hours upon completion of fund transfer on your iBanking platform. You will be notified when your funds deposit is successful.

For Real-Time Trading, users residing in Singapore can carry out Bank Transfer via Xfers.

For OTC Trading, there are three available payment methods to choose from: Alipay, WeChat and Bank Card.

Currently, the platform accepts USD deposits for real-time trading.
Currencies accepted for OTC Trading include SGD, PHP, CAD, AUD, GBP, EUR, HKD, USD, CNY.

All fund withdrawals may take up to 1 business day to be processed.


Everest Gold units (EGU) are digital gold backed on a 1:1 basis by physical gold. Physical gold is digitally fractionated, lowering the entry threshold for gold investment to as low as 0.01g, and introduced onto the trading platform as EGU (Everest Gold units) for trading.

1 EGU = 0.01g of gold.

To view your trading history, launch the app and go to “Trading History” under Main Menu.

Everest Gold is available for trading 24/7.

Gold is currently the only investment product on the platform. In the near future, Everest Gold will launch more diversifying financial products.


The issuing price of EGU is referenced to the international spot gold price as a benchmark. Everest Gold purchases gold from the market on a periodic basis and issues digitalized gold onto our platform through Gold Subscription Event for users to subscribe to.

Everest Gold only issues gold for our users’ trading purposes and there is no obligation to buy back any gold. The EGU price is decided by the trading market.

Gold is currently the only investment product on the platform. In the near future, Everest Gold will launch more diversifying financial products.

Banks and gold dealers, the only channels for regular investors to trade gold, may incur additional costs such as handling, valuation and testing fees. The contrast between the buying and selling price of gold at banks greatly reduces the actual profit and returns of your investment.

Everest Gold provides competitive global benchmarked prices without the premiums associated with smaller, retail products. Entry threshold for gold investment is as low as 0.01g of gold, making gold investment possible for investors of smaller budgets.

Everest Gold uses 999.9 pure investment grade gold. Our gold bars are obtained from Metalor Technologies Singapore Pte Ltd. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Metalor Technologies International SA, the leading worldwide precious metals refiner based in Neuchâtel (Switzerland).

All asset holdings on Everest Gold are 100% backed by physical gold. Gold is stored in Malca-Amit, a world-class secure vault facility in Singapore. Our gold is audited by a third-party accounting firm no less than 9 times yearly.

Gold Subscription Events

Gold Subscription Event is a direct, limited-time sale of Everest Gold units (EGU). A limited supply of EGU is offered at attractive prices benchmarked against international gold price. Each subscription event is conducted on the platform and lasts for 4 to 7 days

There are 3 steps to the Gold Subscription process.

  1. Subscribe by entering EGU purchase quantity. All funds used for subscription are frozen until allocation is completed.
  2.  Review details and confirm subscription. You may subscribe to more gold during an ongoing event.
  3.  The transaction is completed upon EGU allocation after 24 hours. All allocated EGU will be processed and transferred to your account. Unused cash balance will be refunded in full.

Supply of EGU is limited during each Gold Subscription Event and gold allocation will be determined after the event is closed. All users will receive allocated EGU within 24 hours and can be used to trade immediately. 

In the case of oversubscription, users may not receive full subscription amount and all unused cash balances will be refunded in full.

You will receive a notification whenever a Gold Subscription Event is going on. Each subscription event is conducted on the platform and lasts for 48 hours.

Closure of Everest Gold Account

If your account has yet to be verified but you would like to close it, please write in to [email protected] to state your request for an account closure.

Our customer service team will verify and assist upon receipt of your request.

Users who have registered via mobile number
Please attach this document in your email: Phone bill (Indicating your full name, address and mobile number)

Users who have registered via email address
Please write in to us via the email address which you have used to register the account.

If your account has been verified but you would like to close it, please follow the process below:

  1. Write in to [email protected] to state your request for account closure.

  2. Our customer service team will check your latest trading transactions for any balance reward points, EGU or cash assets in your account.

  3. If there are existing balances, our customer service team will advise you to empty all balances.

  4. Our customer service team will make an appointment for you to visit our office to sign an Account Closure Form.

    Please bring along your NRIC or Passport (whichever was used during your account verification) to the appointment.

Closure of account will take 5 to 7 business days to be processed.
